Ava grew up outside of Boston in a household where her mother incorporated holistic healing modalities such as herbalism, homeopathy and organic nutrition as a vital part of her family’s lifestyle. She was first introduced to yoga at age 6 and afterwards became a competitive gymnast, which fueled her passion for movement as a form of self-expression, healing and art. With her motivation to help others heal through yoga and pranayama breathwork, Ava completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Kripalu School of Yoga in Stockbridge, MA. In her classes Ava incorporates hands-on adjustments, energy healing, essential oils and various styles of yoga including Kripalu yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Kundalini, Ashtanga and Restorative.
